Silhouette Cameo in the Classroom
My all-time favorite feature of the Silhouette Cameo is the ability to cut out printed objects. Simply create your image on PowerPoint, upload the image onto Silhouette’s software, print the image with Silhouette’s registration print marks, and you’re all set to go! It will easily cut out your image! Before owning my Silhouette Cameo, I would spend hours just cutting out our Kindergarten popcorn words (sight words). This machine saves me so much time and energy!
It’s Dr. Boender here! Last year I turned my room into an operating room, and my students became doctors. We weren’t just any doctors, we were contraction doctors. However, before my students could complete contraction surgery, they needed to look the part first! I created these stickers using my Silhouette Cameo. My students thoroughly enjoyed being surgeons and looking the part too!
My students loved these personalizable doctor badges! Each student had safety glasses, a doctor badge, a surgical cap, and a surgical-mas>. It is amazing how engaged students can be when the setting/environment of the classroom changes slightly!
I recently used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out my Male Kindergarten Teacher button from vinyl! Originally, I used vinylcuttingmachineguide.com to compare other vinyl machines until I found out I could use this machine to cut vinyl. Pretty nifty. I am so excited to use this decal to personalize my notebooks, mugs, storage bins, and much more!
This past Halloween I took part in a Halloween Popcorn Box Party By Laura Kelly! To create these popcorn boxes, I purchased a number of designs from Silhouette’s Design Store. Their design stores has thousands of inexpensive designs that are absolutely amazing! Simply search what you’re looking for, choose your design, checkout, upload your purchased design into the Silhouette software, and cut – It’s really that easy! Check out my blog post here!

November 25, 2015 at 2:06 amI just bought the Cameo last week, great sale price on Woot. I used it to cut shapes to make turkeys today. I was using both mats, one was getting cut while I was removing the shapes off another. It saved so much time.

November 26, 2015 at 10:33 amI have utilized stern furnishing with my kid previously, however he for the most part doesn't require it, and is generally well-behaved enough to not require such consideration. His Phoenix pre-k teachers are also good.
